Why is Macedonia a famous wine region?

According to some archeological researches, we have findings that the production of the commercial production of wine dates back to 13^th century B.C. Macedonia is also known as the land of the sun – it has 270 sunny days in a year, hence the cultivation of the wine grapes has a high quality.

The continental climate caressed by the Mediterranean winds additionally contribute for the rich aromas of Macedonian wines.   

The production of Macedonian wines encompasses three main wine regions:

East region
